Nice hotel but be careful with their billing practice

The hotel is located at the train station. It has nice rooms, great breakfast and a bar/restaurant convenient for when you do not want to go out to get something to eat. My only complain is that during check-in I was told that the total amount for my stay would be 564.26 euros. However, my booking invoice stated that it would be 482.46 without breakfast for 2 people for 2 days. When the 15 euro/breakfast was added, it should have been 542.46. Thus, I was charged an additional 21,80 euros 564,26 minus 542,46. I was told that the 21,80 euros was for taxes (I assume local taxes). Nothing was stated on my booking invoice about any additional charge for taxes. To make things worse, I asked for a copy of the invoice at check-in, but all this invoice gave me was a total amount without any specific breakdown about how much was being charged for each day, how much for breakfast and how much was taxes. It only showed me a single line with the grand total of 564,26 euros. This is an unacceptable practice!

Looking to explore this cool Barrio? Or maybe, you need a place to crash after a long travel day, and you need to rent a car, but you don’t want to stay by the airport. Try Barceló Santos. The neighborhood is great, there are dozens of walkable rental car agencies, and it’s a quick ride from the airport.

Location of the hotel is excellent, right above the High-speed train station by the same name; accessible from station itself. Rooms are of European size but a bit expensive. Room and bathroom are clean, beds comfortable. Although we paid close to €200/day had to buy Breakfast at €15/person - not amused by it. Breakfast spread is adequate - particularly the eggs station. Overall a good experience.

Nice hotel, friendly and perfectly located for railway station. Located in a pleasant neighbourhood with some nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to walk or metro into main city centre. To find entrance to hotel exit the railway station via the Place de Joan Peiro exit (next to McDonalds) and turn right. Hotel entrance is 75 m away, up a ramp, then a lift which brings you to Reception.

Lovely hotel, decorated in a theme different to any other hotel I’ve stayed in. Friendly staff. Great rooms and facilities . Only negative was lighting in rooms is a little dull and needs brighter. Also being vegetarian there weren’t many hot food options at breakfast.
